The Chennai Aquarium Club is an organization formed (April.2000) to provide a common meeting place where people who are interested in the hobby of raising, breeding, or exhibiting tropical fish and plants can congregate and exchange information and experiences in a congenial atmosphere.

The club was started with a group of Fish keeping hobbyists. It started with 10 people in April 2000 and is growing by leaps and bounds. We are a group of 30 now.

The members include people from all age groups and different walks of life

The club desires to promote the development of the hobby by a program of lectures, films, Actions, competitions and similar activities. Regular meetings are held in the First Sunday of each month (other than conflicting dates) at each member' residence in cycles at 5:00pm.
